PROJECT OVERVIEW

The main objective of the project is to build the Integrated System for Energy Efficiency, able to significantly reduce the consumption of energy coming from conventional souces, thus turning the sewage treatment plant self sufficient from the energy standpoint. The System principle of operation is twofold: it reduces the energy consumption while on the other hand increases energy production based on plant own resources and renewables. All energy sources planned to be used are typical for the plants operating in the water industry sector. Within a project duration the System will be built and tested. The added value of the project will cover the knowledge on the indivudual System components as well as the synergistic approach to the elements integration. The aim of the project is to identify the possibility of turning the wastewater treatment plant passive in the future.
